Stuart Taylor
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Stuart Taylor joined Front Street Capital in early 2026 as Managing Director of Development & Construction, leading execution and delivery within several verticals of the firm’s development pipeline. He brings more than a decade of experience managing projects from site selection and entitlement through design, construction, and completion, with a focus on delivering high-quality spaces that support long-term community growth.
Prior to joining Front Street, Stuart was Director of Development at The St. James in Washington, DC, where he helped guide the company’s expansion strategy, leading development efforts from concept through delivery and advancing large-scale predevelopment initiatives. He began his career with Clark Construction, managing the delivery of more than $100 million in projects. This foundation in construction continues to shape his hands-on, detail-oriented approach and his ability to work seamlessly with partners and project teams across every phase of development.
A relationship-driven leader, Stuart brings a naturally collaborative style, strategic mindset, and ability to navigate both the technical and interpersonal aspects of development. He is passionate about shaping places that bring people together and contribute meaningfully to the communities they serve.
Originally from Norfolk, VA , Stuart earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and on the water, following UVA athletics, and exploring good food and drink with his family. He and his wife live in Winston-Salem with their young son.
