Norm Lamarche – Senior Portfolio Manager
Norm Lamarche: established Tuscarora Capital Inc., one of Front Street Capital’s two founding companies, with Gary Selke in 1996. From 1987 to 1995, Norm was a portfolio manager with Altamira Management Ltd., where he managed Altamira's AltaFund Investment Corp., Altamira's Resource Fund and the Orbitex Resource Fund, and was responsible for the equity component of Altamira's Balanced Fund.
Norm has earned a reputation as the “best mutual fund manager you’ve never heard of” (Globe and Mail), managing the #1 and #2 fund in Canada over the last 15 years. Norm is a partner, co-chief investment officer and VP of the Firm, as well as a Management Committee member.
Norm currently manages seven top performing funds that consistently outperform their benchmarks and the competition, including the Front Street Growth Fund (formerly Front Street Small Cap Canadian Fund), Energy Growth Fund and the Mining Opportunities Fund. He has also managed the highly successful Front Street Flow Through Partnerships.

Frank Mersch – Senior Portfolio Manager
In 1999, Frank established Casurina Limited Partnership, which grew to become one of Canada’s largest privately managed hedge funds. From 1987 to 1998, Frank was a shareholder, director and vice president of Altamira Management Ltd., where he managed many funds, most notably the Altamira Equity Fund and the New Altamira Value Fund, with more than $9 billion in assets.
Frank has earned a reputation as one of the most highly regarded investment managers in Canada. Frank is the chairman, co-chief investment officer and vice president of Front Street Capital. He manages the portfolios of various investment vehicles, including the Front Street Canadian Hedge and Front Street Capital Equity Opportunities Fund, among others. He also co-directs Front Street Capital’s management of Ceres Global Ag. Corp and the offshore FSC Agri Fund Ltd.

Craig Porter – Portfolio Manager
Craig Porter has more than 17 years' investment experience. He served as Vice President, Equities, Natcan Investment Management Inc., and was also lead portfolio manager of several of the Altamira energy and resources funds. Craig joined Front Street Capital as Portfolio Manager in October 2005. That same year, he was named “Canadian Gold Manager of the Year.” He has prime responsibility for various resources mandates for the Firm’s individual and institutional clients including the Flow Through Partnerships. He holds a BA in commerce and economics from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.

Prakash Hariharan – Associate Portfolio Manager
Prakash Hariharan was previously with Dominion Bond Rating Services, analyzing and rating structured investment products. During that period, he was a lead analyst at DBRS in rating a number of split-share and other derivative products. Prakash joined Front Street Capital in March 2005. He acts as one of the primary co-portfolio managers of the Front Street Long/Short Canadian income strategy and agriculture strategy. He holds a financial engineering degree from York University, an M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business, and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering.
Eric Dzuba – Associate Portfolio Manager
Eric Dzuba was previously employed by Sentry Select, a leading manager of income trust portfolios, where he held a variety of positions, including investment analyst and portfolio manager, and provided investment analysis for several of its income trust portfolios. Eric joined Front Street Capital in March 2005. He acts as one of the co-portfolio managers for the Front Street Yield Opportunities Fund and the Front Street Long/Short Income Fund Ltd. He holds a BA from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.

Ryan Tyler – Associate Portfolio Manager
Ryan Tyler has been involved in the investment industry since 1999 and joined Front Street Capital as an analyst for the Front Street Canadian Equity Strategy before becoming an associate portfolio manager in 2007. Ryan holds a BBA from Simon Fraser University, an Honors MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and is a CFA charterholder.
