Front Street Value Fund
The new Front Street Value Fund will invest in mispriced Canadian and Global equity securities by employing a deep value, contrarian approach. The contrarian approach involves looking for securities of companies that for various reasons are out of favour with the general investing public. These securities will have prices that do not reflect the true long-term fundamental value of the business or are overly pessimistic about the near to medium-term prospect of a business. This approach attempts to profit from buying a security when investor expectations are at their lowest and selling those securities as those expectations improve.
The Fund will invest in small, medium and large-cap companies and may have exposure to all sectors of the economy. The selection and strategic trading of long and short positions in common shares, preferred shares, and to a lesser extent corporate and government debt will be employed to manage risk and volatility. The Fund is suitable for investors seeking long-term capital appreciation with a low to medium tolerance for risk.
